Gallery: ODDA

A small found postcard of a town set in the foothills of mountains and a lake beside is a stunning attraction that is reworked into a multi piece micro narrative. With the aid of a microscopic tool, I can take a journey through the streets of Odda.  Escaping into the image I have become a nonparticipating Flanuer by imagination.

I am seeking narrative of the incidental moment and find simple things to dwell on.  An activity of anonymous figure crossing a pedestrian crossing, intersected by a shadow, created by a figure walking on the other side of the road become a micro narrative for my fascination.  There is a boy at the side of a road with what appears to be an ice-cream, waiting for the oncoming traffic to pass.  The stories keep emerging and the narratives continue.

This work is produced on silver foils mounted onto aluminum and sealed with a granular finish, allowing them to glisten when you move around the image.
